The Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹State University Board of Trustees has launched a nationwide search for the next president of Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹State University, Long Beach. The effort is led by a distinguished, multi-constituency search committee.

Due to the retirement of President Emerita Jane Close Conoley, CSU Chancellor Mildred García appointed Andrew Jones '82, former Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹State University executive vice chancellor and general counsel, as acting president effective Monday, August 25, 2025. Jones will lead the university until a new permanent president is appointed and able to begin their service. On July 23, García announced that the search had been extended.
