First-Year Mandatory Advising (FMA)

ATLAS (that's us!) is your primary advising resource during your first year at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹.

  • All First-Year students must complete First-Year Mandatory Advising (FMA) in Fall and Spring prior to registering for classes.
  • Our office will notify you via email with the steps you need to take to complete your advising requirement and get your hold lifted each term.

Tools to Track Your Degree Progress

The Course History lists all courses you’ve taken, as they have been articulated at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹. This includes test credit, transfer credit, and Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ courses.

Each icon indicates the type of credit listed:

  • Green arrow = transfer or test credit
  • Green checkmark = Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ credit
  • Yellow diamond = in progress at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹

Each class listing includes the term taken, grades, units, if it meets a GE requirement, and any notes about the credit (ex: coursework excluded).

*Check your Course History to ensure you do not repeat a class for which you’ve already received credit.

Your Transfer Credit Report lists all external (non-Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹) coursework and test credit received by the University (AP, IB, CLEP, CC, 4-year, Military/Life Experience Credit).

*Check your Transfer Credit Report to ensure all external credit is in the system. If something you completed is missing, send an official transcript or report to Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Enrollment Services.
