The Engineering Student Success Center (ESSC) Academic Advising Office serves the College of Engineering (COE) and is committed to helping students graduate in a timely manner with a highly-valued degree from Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹State University Long Beach. The ESSC Advising Office offers appointment-based and drop-in advising options and provides assistance with:

  • Pre-major advisement
  • Academic programs and resources
  • General Education advising
  • MyÁ½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹'s Degree Planner, Academic Requirements Reports, and other Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ documents
  • Academic policies and procedures, including the Rules to Degree Progress
  • Prospective student advising and application processes
  • Academic interventions and success strategies
  • Referral to other campus resources

Each student in the College of Engineering is assigned academic advisor based on their major and whether or not they are in the pre-major or fully-declared in their engineering majors. To find out who your advisor is, visit the Find My Advisor page.
