School of Social Work MSW Beach Academy 2025
Over two full days, nearly 200 incoming MSW students participated in the annual Beach Academy at The Pointe Conference Center. The Beach Academy provides new MSW students an introduction to the School of Social Work as they begin their journeys as professional social workers and opportunities to develop their thinking and capacity to reflect on how their social identities shape and influence their social work practice. Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ engaged in activities designed to explore the social work profession, law and ethics, professional expectations, and our social, political, and economic environment. A highlight of the event was the student panel, where social work alumni shared their experiences navigating the MSW program. The MSW Beach Academy provided an interactive and supportive space to build community and prepare students for their journey ahead. We wish all of our students success as they begin this exciting chapter - GO BEACH!
