Dr. James Lott Appointed as CHHS AI Coordinator

The College of Health and Human Services is pleased to announce that Jim Lott, PsyD, MBA, a lecturer from the Department of Health Care Management, will serve CHHS as our first AI Coordinator. In this role, Jim will advise on the thoughtful integration of artificial intelligence across our curricula and research initiatives, ensuring that our programs remain at the forefront of innovation and ethical practice.
"AI in higher education is like steroids for the mind," Jim says. "When dosed thoughtfully, it supercharges (the acquisition of) knowledge, insight and innovation—but in reckless practice, it distorts scholarship into a monstrous caricature of itself." With over a decade of experience in educational technology and a deep commitment to human-centered design, Jim will help guide our community to harness AI’s promise—amplifying curiosity, learning and innovation.
